How you will make an impact

Arla Foods is looking for a Global Maintenance Excellence Manager for their Global Supply Chain. The overall responsibility of this role is to deliver maintenance transformation across Arla Foods’ production sites. Driving TPM and other WCM manufacturing techniques to ensure optimum availability and efficiency of their plants, equipment, facilities, and systems, including cost efficiencies.

Arla Foods’ new Global Maintenance Excellence Manager plays a pivotal role for Arla Foods in driving, engaging, and influencing key stakeholders across the business in delivering improvement projects, maintenance strategy, and setting Arla Foods strategic maintenance direction.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the global maintenance strategy leveraging TPM, WCM, and Lean methodologies to drive improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and asset reliability 

• Ensure LEAN ways of working at sites to deliver maintenance excellence. Ensure, deliver and deploy long term plans to deliver optimum maintenance of process/production equipment, service installations and production IT

• Responsible for all areas of engineering compliance, and leads the direction for the department and connects Arla Foods’ vision, mission, strategy and values to the tasks of the department

• Responsible for analysing data to ensure the right equipment maintenance strategy and continuous improvements are implemented

• Lead, coach, develop and mentor teams and the broader organisation to realise Arla Foods’ goals and objectives

• Deliver technical input to standards and projects in QEHS, IT, HR, CAPEX and across the organisation

• Network across the organization to ensure alignment and best practice learnings between sites

What will make you successful

Arla Foods is looking for a professional with a strong background in manufacturing within an FMCG company. Ideally with experience as a maintenance manager, engineering team leader, factory engineering manager, or asset maintenance manager.

Your expertise should include experience in SAP PM, with a proven ability to define maintenance strategies and operational standards. A solid understanding of managing safety, quality, and legal compliance, along with knowledge of machinery safety, is essential.

Furthermore, we expect you have:

• Education at Bachelor’s/Diploma/Master’s level within engineering or an industrial discipline or proven track record with a factory

•  Knowledge, experience and ability to demonstrate practitioner experience in World Class Manufacturing Techniques

• Experience in SAP PM & digital tools/technologies for Asset Care; with a proven ability to define maintenance strategies and operational standards

• Project Management experience

• Experience working in matrix organizations, where collaboration with local maintenance technicians, operational and maintenance leaders, site directors, and senior stakeholders is key

• A solid understanding of managing safety, quality and legal compliance, along with knowledge of machinery safety, is essential

• Microsoft PowerBI knowledge/skill is desirable
