QA Director

For an international SaaS company

Our client is a cutting-edge SaaS company on a transformational AI journey. The company provides innovative software solutions to leading manufacturing companies.

As QA Director, you will lead and evolve quality assurance across the organization. You will be responsible for setting the overall QA direction, driving people leadership, leading strategic change initiatives to transform QA into a state-of-the-art function, and establishing the frameworks required to support reliable, secure, and compliant software delivery.

Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure that quality is embedded across teams, processes, and releases, supporting the organization’s continued transition to continuous delivery.

The company has recently launched AI-enabled products and continues their development. They have adopted AI-assisted coding practices and are embracing AI as part of their overall product development processes. This creates a unique opportunity to shape how QA is defined and ensured in an AI-driven SaaS organization.

What you will do

• Lead QA culture and drive change across development teams, ensuring QA becomes an integrated and value-adding part of the development process

• Manage and engage a QA/engineering team

• Define and implement a clear, scalable QA strategy, including governance, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Strengthen collaboration between QA, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of quality goals

• Drive improvements in release quality and reduce defect leakage through structured quality practices and feedback loops

• Increase the level of test automation across the organization to support efficiency and scalability

• Enable QA practices that support continuous delivery and modern development workflows

• Govern release readiness and go/no-go decisions

• Ensure testing approaches and quality gates align with next-generation development practices

• Oversee software security and compliance, including GDPR/DPA, customer obligations, open-source license compliance, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident handling

• Establish QA practices in an AI-enabled environment

  
  

What you bring

• Proven leadership experience, including people management and the ability to lead others and drive change

• Experience defining and executing QA strategy, governance, and metrics at an organizational level

• Solid experience in software quality assurance within complex environments

• Strong understanding of release governance, quality gates, and modern software delivery processes

• Experience supporting CD and DevOps practices and driving test automation strategies, increasing automation maturity

• Strong AI mindset and a keen interest in leveraging AI in solutions

• Solid knowledge of software security and compliance requirements

• A proactive and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement across the organization

• Business understanding and the ability to balance quality, speed, and commercial impact
