Forecast is looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Design & User Experience to be a part of their exciting journey in changing Project Management. As Head of Design & UX at Forecast you will be owning the entire design strategy and vision around their platform, leading a team of designers and researchers to create seamless, intuitive, and beautiful user experiences that set Forecast apart from the crowd!
You will be responsible for the overall Forecast brand identity, owning the creative vision for Forecast, and ensuring consistency across how Forecast represents its brand and product. You will be working on improving and creating accessible features that make their platform enjoyable and easy to learn. You will be partnering closely with the VP of Product and CTO driving forward an intuitive design culture with great attention to detail embedded across the organization - setting the bar for excellence!
Your responsibilities…
Lead the Design function and UX research as they continue to expand their design practice across their different offices globally. This responsibility spans across both product and marketing e.g., website, brand, and product
Partner closely with Engineering and Product leadership, embedding their comprehensive design strategy and vision in every aspect of the product development lifecycle
Foster cohesion and collaboration across cross-functional teams, developing practices within Design to improve capabilities and put in place scalable ways of working
Empower your teams to work with their own cross-functional product team stakeholders to ensure that design is at the forefront of engineering iteration
Develop a design culture that is detail-obsessed - from big product launches to individual pixel perfection - and puts customer value at the heart of their decisions
Maintain and build design team processes and ways of working that ensure that all designs delivered are in line with our brand vision and high-quality standards
Establish Forecast as a design leader in the enterprise software industry
You will be great in this role if you…
Possess excellent leadership- and communication skills and a strong people mindset
Hold demonstrated experience in Design (UI & UX) leadership, having set and built design strategy across a business
Hold experience building and growing teams - mentoring, coaching, and developing team members
Hold experience establishing processes to ensure that good design practices are followed in every part of the product as well as ensuring cohesiveness with external communication e.g. website
Have the technical ability to actively bridge gaps between engineering and design teams
Have the ability to identify opportunities for organizational processes and operational optimization
Have the ability to bring simplicity to complex problems and tie together and communicate how design decisions impact business outcomes
Have a growth mindset and openness to feedback
Are an agile and creative team builder who is also a cross-functional leader.
